Students who submit their final hard-bound thesis to the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) on or before 30 June 2026 will be eligible for consideration for the 2026 Convocation.
Please note that the Faculty of Graduate Studies requires a minimum of ten (10) working days to review the final thesis after all corrections and recommendations made by the examiners at the Viva Voce Examination have been satisfactorily addressed.
Therefore, students intending to submit their final hard-bound thesis are required to:
1. Submit the corrected final thesis to the FGS for review before printing.
2. Obtain formal approval from the FGS prior to printing and submitting the hard-bound copies.
Students who successfully submit their approved final hard-bound thesis to the FGS on or before 30 June 2026 will also be eligible to apply for the Gold Medal for Excellence in Research – 2026.
Applications for the Gold Medal for Excellence in Research – 2026 are expected to open during the first week of July 2026. Further details regarding the application process will be announced in due course.
Students are advised to plan their submissions accordingly to avoid delays and ensure eligibility for both the Convocation and the Gold Medal application process.
