This program is ideal for graduates, scholars, educators, professionals, and anyone with a science interest in Buddhist Studies who wish to deepen their knowledge and contribute meaningfully to society.

Eligibility	Those who have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree, including 30 credits related to following subject areas are eligible to follow MA in Buddhist Studies program. Humanities Social Sciences Education Law Management studies Medical sciences Applied Sciences Engineering or Royal Pandith degree offered by oriental studies society of Sri Lanka or Successful completion of the Master of Buddhist Studies (SLQF Level 09)	Those who have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree, including 30 credits related to following subject areas are eligible to follow Master of Buddhist Studies program. The course fee can be paid in full or in two installments. In addition to the course fee, the following fees should be payable at the time of registration.

How to apply?

2. Select the relevant course (MA in Buddhist Studies / Master of Buddhist Studies) and log in with your email & NIC/passport number
3. Enter your details and click on Submit.
4. Pay the Application Fee (Rs. 2,000/-). Payment can be made by using Visa/Master cards. Each applicant will get a unique account number to make the payment. (Please do not ask for a bank account number from others)
5. Send the downloaded application to boshu.fgs@sjp.ac.lk. Please write the applied program (“MA in Buddhist Studies – 2026” or “Master of Buddhist Studies – 2026”) in the subject field of the email.
6. Post the printed application (from the 4th step above) through a registered post to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Gangodawila, Nugegoda.
   Write the course applied for on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.
